What are markdown cards and how can I edit them?

Markdown cards are easily formatted text cards that use markdown to add formatting like headers, bold text, bulleted lists, etc. to plain text and then convert it to structurally valid XHTML (or HTML).

But if you do not know Markdown, you can still use our platform easily. Here's what you need to do while creating a new Markdown card:

  1. Type the text (without any formatting) that you want to display in the card.
  2. Select the part of the text that you want to format and using our toolbar select any of the formatting options available (for e.g. H1 for bold titles). This would change the plain text to markdown automatically.
  3. To add an image to the card - place the cursor where you want to insert the image and select the image icon from the toolbar - this will let you upload any image from you desktop.
  4. You can also attach a link to the image such that when the user clicks on the image he is redirected to another website/link.
  5. A preview is also available at the bottom for you to view your changes.
  6. Hit save when you are done.

Further under Styling you can
  1. Modify the existing CSS of the Default theme attached to the card.
  2. Add your own CSS by selecting None under themes.

Note: Your account will come with an example Markdown Card which you can play around with to understand better how editing works.
